Impressive collection of children's stories, complete with appropriate illustrations.I found the stories delightful, and it was not just stories but poems as well. As an author, I cannot imagine how difficult it was to format this ebook! with the images and the various alignment, I imagine it was a great feat. My only criticism was the varying artists of the illustrations and pictures. One for instance was a beautiful fairy, but others were photographs or sketches. i think it would have come across with better continuity to have all the same illustrator or types of drawings. But that is just my preference.Product details

Interspersed with stories and poems this fascinating book has a wide selection of pieces that are sure to delight readers of all ages.
Our book begins with ‘The Valley of the Yellow Stones’ where we pick up from the previous book. Patti, Peter and friends go on a magical journey to help Shaman Chara. And who wouldn’t love the story of Randolf the Red-Nosed Camel? I’m not going to give anything away but your children will love him.
Also, Joe Dingus’ story is wonderfully uplifting and teaches us the meaning of love and perseverance; of courage and kindness. The story of King nearly made me cry. He reminded me of Speed Bump Charlie, another alley cat, who ruled over his local neighbourhood then went on to become the baddie in the Astro’s Adventures series.
The stories and poems are written well and flow beautifully from one to another. I was really taken by this opening passage To be kind is more important than to be right; many times what people need is not a brilliant mind that speaks, but a special heart that listens.
I think it sums up the sort of people both Peter and Patti are. They have dedicated this book to the children of the world and offer it as a selfless and generous gift to the world of children’s literature.
Jam-packed into this book are so many stories and poems – there is literally something for everyone. I’m sure it’s going to be a great hit. You certainly won’t be disappointed.
Funny and sweet words from the heart. I especially enjoyed the poem Morning News. This is a book you can pick up and read out loud when you want to make someone smile.
I loved how the stories I have read so far this collection took me from the real world. I loved the journey of the characters and I often see myself in the places they visited. It is a book for children, but will also bring out the child in you. Still have a way to go in this book, therefore I will be back with more reviews.
I loved this collection of rhyming children's stories and poems. It's not only for children! I enjoyed it as much as my son did. It takes you away from the real world for a while and gives your imagination a workout. I loved sharing it with my son and giggling and laughing with him. I highly recommend this book for children and adults alike.
This is a well written children's book that utilizes pictures to enhance the meaning of each chapter as pictures leaves a residue on the brain. I applaud the author for compiling such body of works that children can and will relate to.
This book and series of works shows the creative minds of the authors (Peter and Patti). I recommend this well written, easy reading children book. In addition, this book enhances the reading literacy of our young people.
I bought this book a couple of months ago but didn't have a chance to look it over until recently when some young relatives came to visit. We opened it on my Ipad and found a number of interesting stories and poems that were truly enchanting. We also enjoyed the different sketches, photos and visual experiences that Peter and Patti incorporated into the book. The authors have a lot of fun inserting themselves into some of the magical stories and tales. It's a hoot and very entertaining! If you want to engage young ones or just want to take a trip back to childhood, check out Rhyming Children's Stories, Poems and More. You won't regret it.
I got this book of Children Rhymes from and I must say it was quite a fun read and would be for most ages and not just children. The stories are replete with Unicorns and owls and peacocks and castles and queens and mermaids and shamans and all sorts of creatures but real and fabulous. The tales have a pleasant non-sensical quality to them, almost reminiscent of Edward Lear’s work. And it makes it all the more hilarious. For instance, in many scenes, the laughing protagonist takes time to be "restored back to his composure after a hearty laugh"! And that people, on a recurrent basis, at certain points in the stories, tend to “feel satisfied and at ease”! These spots in the book got me!
There are fantastic re-imaginings too, like Pinocchio. And once again well crafted.
This creative, effervescent book would be really liked by the children and the fans of children’s stories. The names of actors are easy and it is illustrated with carefully chosen pictures and photographs. I must say that some parts, like the time travel, may not be easily understood to the children. However, the writers Peter and Pattimari have done a great work to keep things light and comprehensible. I rated it five stars because I had quite a bit of pleasure and laugh reading it. )
